This is a weekly, one-hour class aimed at students of tai chi who enjoy practising and learning new techniques and skills.

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art consisting of a series of slow but continuous movements of many parts of the body. It's a moving meditation.

Tai Chi is an ideal activity for older people as it is a physical activity that can improve balance, strength, mobility, fitness, flexibility, endurance and bone density – all factors that have been identified as primary prevention strategies to reduce falls and falls injury.

Your tutor is master trainer Fiona Black, who has been teaching tai chi at The Rex Centre for almost 20 years with the support of the City of Sydney.

If you like the sound of this class, but are new to tai chi, join our beginner's class. It starts at 9am.
