When

Every day, 4pm to 11pm Monday 13 May to Friday 17 May

We must become a Syntropic World – 7 Events covering Women and Climate, Earth Led Education, the Future of Accounting for Climate, A Flight Manual for Spaceship Earth, Awakening to Colonisation and Climate, and a closing Syntropic Campfire.

Welcome to the Syntropic World Pavilion which is mostly virtual, where some of our local and global Syntropic World community present new models, maps and language for a new world. Syntropic World is a global education platform, business incubator and community committed to changing the very substrate that underpins the systems that result in catastrophic risk scenarios. Syntropic World founder, Christine McDougall, is on the CAW governance team, ensuring CAW models a Syntropic Enterprise.

  1. Limited 2 x 4 podcast presented by Nova Diem. Over the course of the week, we will be releasing 8 episodes of a made-for-CAW podcast.

  2. What is true financial leadership? Paula Kensington, CFO, will facilitate a round table with CFOs. No matter what action is being taken in the front office (of a business) If the calculations in our spreadsheets do not change (engine room of the business) then no real change is made. The chasm between impact and accounting with the pace of regulatory change is glacial. How do we breathe fresh life into our balance sheets, bringing the cost of externalities in our metrics?

  3. Bright New World – Earth-led education. Cindy Forde and Kelly Watkins from Planetari will lead a workshop on Cindy's book, Bright New World – now part of the Australian Schools Curriculum, teaching children to care for our home planet. This event is for parents, educators and anyone invested in teaching children we live on one Spaceship Earth.

  4. A Flight Manuel for Spaceship Earth – Christine McDougall will introduce practical, tested models that upend our experience of enterprise – tools to coordinate people, account for value, and provision – all holding life as sacred and using principles developed by our greatest teacher, Mother Nature, so that all human enterprising can be in coherence with Nature.

  5. Awakenings – Cindy Forde and Christine McDougall will lead a workshop introducing the audience to the interlinkage of systemic colonisation and climate change.

  6. She Changes Climate – a woman-led initiative founded after the all-male panel at COP Scotland, and designed to bring the voices of women who would never have access to a seat at the decision table, will lead a session.

  7. Syntropic Campfire – We will close with a live and virtual campfire, featuring a panel of people who are leading climate action worldwide, including many of the guests on the limited podcast series.

The online event is held via Zoom. Access link will be delivered via email one day before the event
