Park Arts - Wild Wonders

When

Tuesday 16 April from 8am to 4pm Tuesday 23 April from 8am to 4pm

Cost

Child: $100 AUD

Children are invited to join us for a creative art day at Centennial Park - if your child loves plants and animals and wants to explore their creative side, then this arty day is just for them!

We will play some nature-based art games working with a range of art mediums and natural materials (loose parts, clay, foliage, sticks etc.) to make a series of works to either leave in situ (on site) or take home with them.

Walking through the park, they will meet some of its wild inhabitants and will inspiration for their own art works in the beautiful outdoors.

We will explore the park through walks and activities, collecting natural material for our own art work.

  • Clay work

  • Scavenger Hunt & Natural Fabrics

We will go on a scavenger hunt and create a communal artwork as well as our own personal creations.

  • Team Ephemeral Art

  • Clay Creatures

Special Notes:

This program will go ahead in all weather unless it is unsafe to do so (high winds, thunderstorms), so please come prepared. Children must wear enclosed shoes.

Our drop-off school holiday programs have an adult to child ratio of 1:10. We are unable to offer a 1:1 support for children. If you would like to discuss the needs of your child with us, please email education@gsp.nsw.gov.au or assist us by completing the accessibility requirements and behavioural needs questions when registering.

This is a drop-off program for children aged 5-12 years. Parents do not attend with children.

If you're unable to join us for this program at Centennial Park, don't worry! We're excited to share that Greater Sydney Parklands is running a similar program at Callan Park during these Autumn holidays.
