Get ready for an unforgettable night out on Sydney’s legendary Oxford Street, the vibrant heart of the city’s LGBTQ+ scene! Join us for an epic bar crawl led by the fabulous drag queen extraordinaire, Kiama Blowhole.

Embark on a 4-hour adventure exploring the most famous gay bars in the area, perfect for solo adventurers, groups of friends, and locals of all ages seeking a night filled with fun and uniqueness. Your glamorous host, Kiama Blowhole, will host you through the entire night, visiting Sydney’s top-rated LGBTQ+ friendly establishments.

Your journey begins with the first drink on us, choose from a selection of beer or wine. There’s no pressure to indulge; we promise a fabulous time whether you decide to drink or not!

As you traverse the length of Oxford Street, Kiama Blowhole will regale you with entertaining stories, covering all the main stories of Sydney’s heart of all things LGBTQ+, including some of the area’s sordid history and how Mardi Gras first started way back in 1978.

After the glamour-filled bar crawl, we’ll provide you with a map linking to all the fabulous places visited throughout the night, along with some extra hotspots to explore. This is your golden ticket to the most unforgettable night out in Sydney!

What we provide:

  • 3 – 4 hour guided activity

  • Reservations at 3 – 4 Oxford St venues

  • 1 alcoholic drink (beer or wine only)

  • Share food (eg fries) at first bar

  • Group photos

  • Map with recommendations

Tour details

Perfect for: Solo travellers, couples and friends. You’ll be in a fun and friendly group consisting of locals and travellers.

Group size: Up to 12 people (no minimum numbers). If booking for more than 6 people, you must book as a private group – contact us first and we’ll set something up.

Budget for drinks: Expect to spend at least $40 AUD extra per person on drinks (beers & wine only) or at least $60 AUD extra person if ordering mixed drinks and cocktails.

Age range: This tour is great for everyone over 18. Most participants are in their 20s, 30s and 40s but we love our more “mature” guests – they party harder!

Start location: The Emden Gun, located in Hyde Park, near the corner of Liverpool and College Streets.

End location: Universal on Oxford St, just a short stumble back to the start location and public transport.
