The Rodney Wylie Eminent Visiting Fellowship Lectures brings a globally respected visitor to the University of Queensland, Melbourne, and Sydney, each year to provide intellectual leadership and engage with alumni and the community through its annual public lecture series.
The 2024 Rodney Wylie Lecture will be presented by Michel Barnier, a French politician who served as the European Commission's Head of Task Force for Relations with the United Kingdom. In his address 'Negotiating Brexit and the future of the European Union', Michel Barnier will discuss his journey negotiating Brexit on the global stage, the relationship between France, the EU and Australia and recent crises in Europe such as Brexit, the financial crisis and the war in Ukraine.
