Thursday 16 May from 4pm to 5pm

Marketers have an incredible responsibility when it comes to climate impact.

They are the most skilled at influencing and shaping perceptions and behaviours, which make their role essential in driving genuine sustainability initiatives.

Yet, many lack a clear understanding of how to communicate sustainability effectively.

As sustainability credentials become the norm across all industries, untrained marketers often inadvertently contribute to greenwashing, undermining progress, and eroding trust in genuine solutions.

This session is designed to help marketing professionals gain a deeper understanding of the critical importance of authentic sustainability communications in today's marketplace.

From understanding the true meaning of greenwashing, its impact on organisational credibility, to learning the best practices that elevate sustainability messaging to the highest standards, we will provide the keys to effective sustainability narratives.

This session will be held online in collaboration with James Bryce-Smith an expert in sustainability communications based in Europe. He will bring perspectives and shed a light on the European regulations regarding sustainability marketing, currently setting the benchmark for global standards.

Key takeaways:

  1. Understanding the pivotal role of marketers in driving genuine sustainability initiatives.

  2. Gaining insights into the true meaning of greenwashing and its impact on organisational credibility and consumer trust.

  3. Learning best practices for authentic sustainability communication

  4. Discovering proven methodologies to elevate sustainability messaging to the highest standards.
