The Jewish Comedy Showcase is back with a stellar line-up of the best Jewish comedians!

A Sydney Comedy Festival must-see, with rising stars and established knockouts, this sensational showcase will be held on Wednesday 1st of May.

Our MC is the vivacious Jess Fuchs. With more than 80,000 followers on TikTok, Jess’s relatable humour has made her an internet sensation. Jess cut her comedy teeth in New York, arriving home to Sydney with a razor sharp wit, and cool on-stage confidence. A favourite at comedy nights all over Australia, Jess brings up the energy with non-stop laughs, wherever she performs.

Talented feature acts include “the Bridget Jones of Comedy” award-nominated British comedian Robyn Reynolds, as seen on SBS Viceland. Joined by comedy storyteller Thalia Joan, known for her personal and engaging solo shows, and Zane Friedler, a darkly hilarious comic whose star is rising fast in the Sydney Comedy scene.

Headlining the show this year is the irreverent David Smiedt, described by Adam Hills, as “a living breathing joke machine”. A prolific and in-demand writer, David is the grooming editor of GQ and writes for over 30 magazines and papers including - The Australian, Sydney Morning Herald, Vogue, and many more. David has published seven books, including ‘Are We There Yet?’ the beautifully written tale of a journey to rediscover his childhood in South Africa. David’s unique storytelling, lived experience, and comedic insight, make him one of the most captivating acts in Australia.
