GABS Craft Beer Festival

Great news for craft beer lovers, the country’s biggest craft beer festival is back.

Recognised globally as one of the best beer festivals in the world, the Great Australasian Beer SpecTAPular (GABS) Australia's premier indoor craft beer festival is famous for showcasing the best and most innovative brews from around the country.

The event's cornerstone is the 120 unique beers brewed exclusively for the event by as many different breweries! Think Smores served with Toated Marshmallows, Sushi Beer, Spaghetti Beer, Banana Blueberry Pancake Smoothie beer, Cereal beer, bacon beer, “The Sanga” Beer and more. There will also be some interesting stands including a winter stand to reflect an Apres Ski Resort.

There are a few new points of interest this year.

• THE OLDEST BREWERY IN THE WORLD: Weihenstephan will be coming down under to showcase why their brewery has reigned supreme over the past 1000 years. Marcus Englet, who has significantly expanded the brewery's global reach, will also be presenting at theInternational Brewers Collective which takes place on Thursday 30May at ICC Sydney for craft beer enthusiasts who want to do a deep dive into the industry, the people who work in the space and for those who want to network in the industry

• THE PINK PARTY: There will be a pink party on the Friday night to support the Pink Boots Society. Pink Boots Society assist, inspire and encourage women and non-binary individuals in the fermented/alcoholic beverage industry to advance their careers through education. 

• WIN A TRIP OVERSEAS: For a small fee, you can go in the draw to win the ultimate prize, which is a trip to Weihenstephan Germany and one of the most famous beer festivals in the world, the Freising Volksfest. The second prize is a 5-day trip for two to Australia's capital of craft beer, the Sunshine Coast including a brewery tour, flight and accommodation. 

• BREAK A WORLD RECORD: In partnership with Stomping Ground Brewing Co, GABS will be looking to set a record of 1,400 attendees taking part in a special, curated and delivered, beer tasting session.
