Australian Sports Program

When

Sunday 14 April from 1pm to 3:30pm

Come and try out Australian sports and meet new people at this free event for anyone who has recently moved to Australia.

Qualified professionals will teach you the basic skills of our much-loved sports such as AFL, basketball, cricket, hockey, netball, rugby league, soccer and volleyball.

You’ll get the chance to learn about the history and rules of mainstream sports and their place in Australian culture. Also find out about local community sporting club, volunteering and work experience.

This is a great opportunity to get active, make new connections and build your teamwork and communication skills.

The program is ideal for international students, newly-arrived migrants, refugees and people seeking asylum. You must be 18 years and over to participate.

Registration is essential and lunch is provided free.

Presented by the City of Sydney and Australian International Sports Organisation.
