Oceans of Potential: Feeding 10 Billion

Where
2 Murray St
Sydney NSW 2000
Australie
When

Thursday 16 May from 4pm to 7pm

How can the ocean provide solutions to climate change?

Research demonstrates that full implementation of ocean-based climate solutions could reduce the “emissions gap” by up to 35% on a 1.5C pathway in 2050 (Source: High Level Panel for a Sustainable Ocean Economy (HLP) and the World Resources Institute (WRI)).

This event will explore the current state of the world’s seafood sector, the pressures of climate change, and the potential of aquaculture to contribute to a sustainable and equitable future on Planet Ocean. We'll explore the question: "How can innovation in aquaculture and seafood systems help contribute to a sustainable ocean economy, and food security for 10 billion+ people in 2050"?

This event will feature a series of dynamic mini keynotes and interactive discussions, where experts will delve into the challenges, solutions, and opportunities of aquaculture in a climate-impacted future. Including fostering transparency, enhancing cultural connections, harnessing innovative technologies; driving major capital investment; and more.
